Lunchlezing Fokke Moerel, partner MVRDVvrijdag 20 april, 12u30-13u30
Friday 20th April we welcome Fokke Moerel (Breda, 1970) who joined MVRDV in 1998. She studied at the Willem de Kooning Academy and the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design. Before joining MVRDV she worked for OMA. She leads projects in the Netherlands, Eastern Europe, the Americas and the rest of Europe. She frequently teaches and has been a tutor at the Royal Academy for the Arts in The Hague, HKU and Harvard GSD. Fokke is a creative force and leads many of MVRDV’s competition teams. Currently with her team she is designing Museum Boijmans van Beuningen’s public Art Depot in Rotterdam, and in Poznan she was responsible of the Baltyk offices. Some of her notable realisations are Spijkenisse Book Mountain and the Amsterdam Lloyd Hotel.
